Macroperforated film

Macroperforated films are used in various sectors. Particularly noteworthy are the food industry, agriculture and the industrial production of goods that require ventilation.

In macro-perforation, larger holes are made in packaging films during packaging. These perforations with larger holes are contrasted with microperforations. Macroperforation is often used in the food segment and ensures good ventilation and oxygen exchange. This keeps vegetables, for example, fresh for longer. Moisture can also escape from the product packaging, thus reducing spoilage. The formation of condensation is reduced.

Size of the holes: The holes created during macroperforation usually have a diameter of several millimetres. This distinguishes them from microperforations, which have much smaller holes. The holes are distributed evenly across the film or are arranged in specific patterns. This depends on the customer’s requirements.
