Our History
Schlichter GmbH was founded in February 1987 byErwin Schlichter. Over the course of nearly four decades, the company evolved from a specialized mechanical engineering firm into an internationally orientedsystems provider of innovative packaging films and packaging technology.
Today, Schlichter combines experience with innovation:high-performancefilms, PCR, and recycling technologies, in-house processing, mechanical engineering, and application expertise—all from a single source.

UnderManuel Schlichter, the family-owned company is now led by the second generation and is undergoing consistent technological development.
Building on the foundation laid by Erwin Schlichter, the division specializing ininnovative films- and materials technologieshas been significantly expanded.

Film is one of our core competencies today. Our portfolio ranges from high-qualitypolyolefin fine-shrink films and electronically cross-linked high-performancefilms to BOPP and modernPCR, recycled, specialty, and barrier films.
We have particularly focused on expanding our expertise in the areaof post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. Different generations of PCR films with defined recycled content allow us to offer high-performance solutions for a variety of applications.

At our in-housecutting and assembly center, we process films exactly according to our customers' specifications.
Three modern, high-performance cutting machines operating 24 hours a day, a state-of-the-art folding machine, as well asmacro-perforation, hot perforation, and printing with up to eight colorsensure a high degree of flexibility and precision.
From material selection to the finished film—everything is tailored to the application.
